To make a booking follow the steps below;
- Contact Ynys Hywel Activity centre either by phone, email or using the contact form on the website
- If your required dates are available you can make a provisional booking
- To make a confirmed booking you must return the completed booking form and make at least a 25% deposit or full payment.
Until a payment or deposit has been made, Ynys Hywel maintains the right to offer dates to other clients. Bookings can only be accepted by persons aged 18 and over.

We accept card payment over the phone. Please call 01495 201 778.
Please quote your invoice number when paying by Bank Transfer or Cheque.
Please note if paying by cheque your booking is not confirmed until the cheque has cleared through the banking system.
The non refundable deposit of 25% paid during the booking will be deducted from your final balance.
The full payment will be due 6 weeks prior to your visit.
In the event of a cancellation by the customer the following charges will apply:
- More than 60 days before date of event – loss of deposit
- 60 – 30 days 50% of total cost
- 29 days or less or no show – 100% of total cost
Cancellations must be made in writing. Upon receipt of your cancellation request you will be promptly acknowledged and applicable payments will need to be paid.
Cancellation by Ynys Hywel
Ynys Hywel reserves the right to cancel your booking due to adverse weather forecast or prevailing weather conditions or due to other factors beyond our control.
If we have to cancel your booking we will endeavour to organise an alternative activity or date.
Safety and physical fitness
Participants 18 and over must fill out a PERSONAL INFORMATION FORM.
All participants under 18 must have a CONSENT FORM completed by a parent or guardian.
Completed forms must be bought along on the day of arrival.
The majority of Ynys Hywel activities are physically demanding. You should ensure that participants have an adequate level of fitness for the activities undertaken.
Please inform us inform us of any medical conditions that will affect your parties participation when booking. Participants should seek medical advice if necessary. We are not insured to have pregnant participants onsite.
Unsuitable behaviour may result in participants being excluded from a session or from further activities. In these situations it will be discussed with the group leader or parents/guardians and they maybe required to remove the participant from the centre. The duty managers decision will be final and no refund will be made.
Safety is paramount and all participants must accept that the decision of the activity instructor is final and must at all times be accepted by the participants. Ynys Hywel will accept no liability for problems arising from failure to accept and/or respond to the authority and instructions of the instructors.
Ynys Hywel Activity Centre has public liability insurance and employers liability insurance and only accepts responsibility for loss, damage or injury resulting from negligence by Ynys Hywel.
It is your responsibility to arrange appropriate insurance against cancellation, curtailment, personal accident, personal liability, loss, damage and theft.
Parking spaces onsite are limited and where possible we ask that lift shares are organised. Vehicles and contents are left at the owner’s risk.
For the comfort, health and safety of other participants smoking is forbidden during activities. Smoking is only permitted in the designated smoking area.
No animals are allowed within the centre or onsite unless it has been agreed during the booking stages with the duty manager.
Photographs, videos, or other recorded materials may be used by Ynys Hywel for marketing or advertising purposes without any payment or compensation being offered and without any request being made. Please notify us when booking if you do not accept these terms.
Damage or loss
Please notify Ynys Hywel staff of any damage or loss that has occurred to Ynys Hywel property before or during your visit. In the event of damage caused to the property or equipment by participants, except by fair wear and tear, the group will be charged the full replacement costs.
Alcohol and substance misuse
Under no circumstances will anyone under the influence of alcohol or non prescription drugs be permitted to participate in any activity. Legal consumption of alcohol that does not affect your participation on activities can be discussed with the duty manager.
Complaints and Problems
If a problem arises whilst at Ynys Hywel Activity Centre or offsite with Ynys Hywel please inform the Duty Manager or Ynys Hywel instructor as soon as possible.
Complaints should be sent in writing to Ynys Hywel Activity Centre duty manager on your visit and we will respond within 5 working days. The response will include details of any actions we intend to take.
All participants must be over the age of 8 for all our activities. We can provide school programmes for under 8’s, but these would need to be discussed in the initial stages of booking.
Failure to comply with the above terms and conditions may result in participants leaving the site without refund.
